CNPS Election of Directors
CNPS ELECTION OF DIRECTORS
December 1, 2015
Dear members,
By email of Nov. 3, 2015, we notified you that date by which nominations of candidates for directors of the CNPS had to be submitted was Nov, 18, 2015. We also advised that we (the incorporating members) would likely be providing a list of candidates that we proposed for election. Well, while we have been working on such a list, we did not have it completed by Nov. 18. And, as yet, no nominations have been submitted by our members. Accordingly, there must be an extension of the end date for nominations. That date is extended to Dec. 17, 2015.
There must also be an extension of the end date for voting. That date is extended to Dec. 31, 2015.
We are pleased to announce that we have agreed upon a list of eight candidates, all of whom have consented to act as directors, if elected. Here is the list:
- Cynthia Kolb Whitney
- David de Hilster
- Greg Volk
- Nick Percival
- Glenn Borchardt
- Ron Hatch
- Jeff Baugher
- Robert de Hilster
We hereby nominate the above-listed persons for election as directors of the CNPS.
In doing so, we wish to make it clear that members are free to nominate other persons and may do so up to and including Dec. 17, 2015. Please note that any person nominated must consent to act as a director if elected. Please send nominations to nominate@naturalphilosophy.org.
Upon the close of nominations, we will send out ballots setting out the names of all the nominees.
You may vote by marking your choices – no more than eight – and returning the ballots. The voting will be conducted over the internet.
As noted above, the end date for voting is Dec. 31, 2015. After the votes are tallied, we will advise of the results. The terms of the directors will commence on Jan. 1, 2016.
We remind you that under our by-laws, only paid-up members have the right to vote. If you wish to become a paid-up member, please press Pay Membership.
Yours sincerely,
Duncan Shaw,
on behalf of the incorporating members: Greg Volk, Lou LaFollette, David de Hilster, Nick Percival and Duncan Shaw.
