Campaigns

John Chappell Natural Philosophy Society > Campaigns

The John Chappell Natural Philosophy Society (CNPS) is sponsoring two campaigns.

Campaign to Restore Critical Thinking

This is an important theme that differentiates the CNPS from traditional science organizations. As described on our webpage “Critical Thinking”, the scientists of the CNPS exhibit the qualities of “critical thinker”, not just what has been commonly said as a “dissident”. We have to start teaching our students “Critical Thinking” instead of the following:

Campaign to Restore Genius to Human Status

FacebookMemesEinsteinHuman

One of the great problems with science is that of fame and worship. Einstein, Steven Hawking, Neil Degrasse, and others are becoming “more than human”. This is a grand obstacle when it comes to advancing science because it puts these people and what they support, way above where they or their ideas should be. Many CNPS scientists have found numerous flaws in Einstein’s relativity including the fact that GPS in fact shows flaws in the theory.

Our worship makes us think these “geniuses” are smarter than we are and that their word is fact. This type of attitude impedes scientific progress and when we start to treat all scientists are human, we release ourselves to become true critical thinkers.
